Project Fi is a program to deliver a fast, easy wireless experience in close partnership with leading carriers, hardware makers, and our users.
Basically it’s Google taking on Verizon and AT&T head on with the aid support of T-Mobile and Sprint! While it’s still in early access ‘invite only’; the service it’s very immature for now. The coverage is of course brought by the teamwork of T-Mobile and Sprint, which for the Southern region of America is horrible. Verizon has XLTE in the city I live in, yet neither Sprint or T-Mobile has even 3G here. They barely get 2G at best. The only side option is WiFi calling which Project Fi will allow and provide as a compromise you could say. I for one love the idea of calling through WiFi when it’s available. I hate dropping calls! So this suits me great! No dropping calls indoors anymore; along with no need for network extenders that cost $299!
